BamBam, rapper and singer of the globally renowned K-pop group GOT7, officially returns to his roots with the release of his first-ever Thai album, ‘HOMETOWN,’ with the title track “WONDERING” on Oct. 10. Marking a new milestone in his career, the album is BamBam’s most personal and sincere project yet. It is also his first album fully in the Thai language, created to bring global fans closer to Thailand’s sound and culture through his music.

Showing his growth as a multifaceted artist, BamBam participated in writing and composing every track on the album. ‘HOMETOWN’ features collaborations with renowned Thai artists TIMETHAI, INK WARUNTORN and Jeff Satur, while the final track, “Angel In Disguise,” was produced by well-known producer Pharrell Williams, bringing the project an added global touch.
In a recent interview with Billboard Korea, BamBam revealed that he personally selected each collaborator for this album. He chose artists who share the same mindset and creative energy. As this was his first time writing lyrics entirely in Thai, he also received valuable guidance from others during the process, making it a meaningful learning experience.
He went on to reflect on how the idea for ‘HOMETOWN’ was born. During his solo AREA 52 encore concert last year at Rajamangala Stadium, he drove through the neighborhood where he was born. It was a route he had not taken in many years. That simple journey sparked a wave of realization and nostalgia, inspiring him to create an album that captures the essence of his beginnings. From that moment, he knew what direction his next project would take, and the name ‘HOMETOWN’ came naturally.
The album includes five tracks “ไม่มีใครสักคืน (Dancing By Myself)” featuring TIMETHAI, “มากกว่าFriend (More Than Friend)” featuring Jeff Satur, “WONDERING,” “ไฟเขียว (Greenlight)” featuring INK WARUNTORN and “Angel In Disguise,” produced by Pharrell Williams.
“Dancing By Myself” ft. TIMETHAI
Before the album’s full release, BamBam offered a first taste through the pre-release single “ไม่มีใครสักคืน (Dancing By Myself)” featuring TIMETHAI. The cinematic teaser that quickly caught fans’ attention shows the two artists performing together at a sky lounge overlooking the glittering Bangkok skyline. With its refined beats and modern production, the track revealed the bold direction BamBam envisioned for his homecoming record.
“WONDERING”
As for the title track “WONDERING,” the music video stars BamBam alongside Thai actress and model NYCHAA. It unfolds across scenes from a serene beach to a bustling Thai night market as he charms, sings and dances for her. The song stands out for its warm tone and dreamy synth sound, offering a softer and more laid-back vibe compared to “Last Parade,” the title track from his 2024 EP ‘BAEMSIS.’ What sent fans into a frenzy were the multiple kissing scenes, making this BamBam’s first on-screen kisses.
Adding to the album’s significance, BamBam recently performed “Angel In Disguise” at Grace for the World on Sept. 13, the Vatican’s first public concert in over 2,000 years. Performing in front of more than 300,000 attendees, he shared a piece of ‘HOMETOWN’ on one of the world’s most historic stages.
Through ‘HOMETOWN,’ BamBam celebrates his musical identity while expressing deep love for where he comes from. The album stands as a heartfelt message to his fans—an artistic tribute that bridges his past, present and future.
