BRAVE Entertainment’s DKB (E-Chan, D1, GK, Heechan, Lune, Junseo, Yuku and Harry June) has officially returned to the music scene after 15 months with their ninth mini album ‘Emotion.’ The group unveils a deeper and more mature sound that captures the full spectrum of love through diverse genres and heartfelt storytelling.
Known as a self-producing team skilled in songwriting, composing and choreography, DKB has steadily earned recognition as an all-rounder K-pop group loved by fans globally. Before this comeback, members Heechan and Harry June participated in Boys II Planet. Harry June in particular drew attention for his performance direction and choreography on the “like JENNIE” and “Lucky MACHO” stages. His strong skills and warm leadership left a lasting impression on viewers, raising anticipation for the group’s next chapter.

Arriving about one year and three months after their previous mini album, ‘Urban Ride,’ ‘Emotion’ delves into the many faces of love, capturing the irony of excitement, the pull of temptation, the rush of freedom and passion and the bittersweet moments of separation and renewal. Through their own musical lens, DKB captures these emotions in ways that further define their artistic identity. As with their past works, the members actively participated in writing, composing and choreography, infusing every track with sincerity and individuality.
The five-track album opens with the title song “Irony.” Other tracks include “Snake,” which radiates a dangerous allure and tension, while “Weekend” captures a carefree sense of liberation. “Cinderella” delivers a romantic and hopeful message, and “Hello, Goodbye (Rollercoaster)” portrays the emotions of parting and new beginnings.
“Irony”
“Irony” is a pop-rock track with an addictive guitar riff. It captures the moment when a lover’s behavior feels ambiguous: “Is this love, or a game?” expressing the sweet yet confusing irony that blossoms within love.
“Snake”
“Snake” is a hip-hop and trap-based track themed around temptation, tension and addiction. Just like the movement of a snake, it conveys an alluring but dangerous energy with lyrics that describe being unable to escape a captivating temptation that swiftly wraps around you. Repeating imagery of poison and mazes deepens the portrayal of a “dangerous allure.”
“Weekend”
A hip-hop and rock crossover track that blends an addictive guitar riff with heavy 808 bass. As the lyrics say, “like a weekend, as if there’s no tomorrow,” the song depicts a moment of breaking free from reality’s restraints to fully embrace a weekend-like sense of freedom and liberation.
“Cinderella”
A dance-pop song featuring 90s-style drum sounds and raw, spreading distortion guitar tones. Illustrating love through Cinderella’s story, the song carries a powerful and romantic message that any hardship can be overcome as long as you are together.
“Hello, Goodbye”
“Hello, Goodbye (Rollercoaster)” is the English version of the title track from their first single album, “Rollercoaster.” The song harmonizes minimal but melodic sounds with heavy 808 bass, transforming the emotional line of the original Korean lyrics into English to deliver a fresh and unique experience.
With ‘Emotion,’ DKB paints love’s shifting colors with depth and precision. The members’ hands-on involvement across lyrics, composition and choreography brings authenticity to every moment, leaving a strong impression on listeners worldwide.
