The widely popular toy L.O.L SURPRISE! under MGA Entertainment, known for BRATZ and more, is growing in popularity and has collaborated with artists like JENNIE from BLACKPINK and ROSALIA for their own personal dolls. Embarking on a new path, L.O.L SURPRISE! has now taken their vision to the screen. On July 28, a Tuesday in North Hollywood, the cast of L.O.L SURPRISE! The Next Headliner, among many other invitees of creatives, talent, and executives, celebrated the first-ever live-action series of this franchise. The premiere featured an exclusive first look at the series, followed by a Q&A session with the cast and writer, who shared fond memories of what it was like on set.
The series focuses on 5 girls who aspire to make their dream come true, following in the footsteps of renowned solo artist Diva Geneva, played by Lauren Marini, who hosts a show, ‘There Can Only Be One’ for the top spot. All from very different backgrounds, giving the viewers a variety of characters to relate to. Giselle Toress as B.B. BONITA, Indi Star as Violet Angel, Journey Monatana Binns as Shadow Princess, Kate Mina Lin as K-Crush Kutie, and Olivia Taylor Cohen as Electric Vibez. On their journey to stardom, things start to change, and they start to see a future that only exists with each other changing the dynamic of their initial goal as “there can only be one.”
The series premieres on YouTube on the L.O.L. SURPRISE! official YouTube account and is enjoyable for any viewer. L.O.L SURPRISE! The Next Headliner is full of heartwarming moments, laughs, and a story that highlights individuality as well as creating something new and dynamic for five different girls all aiming for the same dream.
