Korean alt-pop indie band, The Rose painted the stage red for their fans on Sunday afternoon at The Coachella Valley Music Festival, delivering a performance that captured the attention of many casual onlookers and the energy of their fans in the audience.
The 45-minute set marked a first for the festival, marking The Rose as the first Korean rock band to perform at the Outdoor Theatre at Coachella. The performance showcased a new remix version of ‘Lifeline’ (Reborn) while featuring a surprise delivery during their fan favorite ‘Wonder’ helping close out the show.
Following their record-breaking North American and European Tour, the band dedicated their performance to their fans, with vocalist and guitarist Woosung saying, “When we first started, we started in a very small place in Seoul called Hongdae. That’s where we used to busk and street-perform and do little club gigs here and there. And our very first show as The Rose, we had about 20 people show up, and half of them were our friends. But look at all you motherf—ers now!”
The band opened with the song “Eclipse” from their 2023 album ‘DUAL,’ released by Transparent Arts/Windfall, they captured the audience with many of their popular songs like “Shift,” “Lifeline,” and “RED” drawing in many new fans from the crowd at the festival. The Rose’s presence at Coachella 2024 proved to be an unforgettable one, becoming a highlight of the festival’s third day and solidifying their status as a powerhouse in the global music scene.

The Rose closed out the festival’s second week by playing at the Outdoor Theatre on Sunday, April 21st.
