ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon is officially carrying the Olympic torch for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics! This year’s Winter Games will take place in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.
Sunghoon joins an elite list of Korean stars like Suzy, Park Bo-gum, MONSTA X, MAMAMOO, and BTS’s Jin, who have carried the flame over the years. While many stars participated when the 2018 Winter Games were held in South Korea, Sunghoon is only the second K-pop artist in history to carry the torch during an overseas relay, following in the footsteps of BTS’s Jin at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This just shows how much ENHYPEN and K-pop’s global influence has grown.
Before he was stealing hearts on stage, Sunghoon was, and still is, a literal “Ice Prince”, having competed as a national reserve figure skater for South Korea. Given his history on the rink, he’s served as a promotional ambassador for the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee since last year. By connecting both his background as an athlete with his life as a global artist, Sunghoon’s participation in the relay serves as a powerful symbol of peace, unity, and friendship.

ENHYPEN’s “SHOUT OUT” Becomes Team Korea Anthem
The Olympic spirit doesn’t stop there. ENHYPEN’s bringing their music to the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics. Team Korea officially selected “SHOUT OUT” from the group’s third mini-album ‘MANIFESTO : DAY 1’ as their national cheer song. So, while Sunghoon represents the group on the ground, their music will be fueling the athletes in the arena.
Reflecting on his journey from the rink to the stage, Sunghoon shared in a statement how much he respects the hard work of the national athletes. “I sincerely want to support and cheer for them,” he said, adding that since competing in the Olympics was once his ultimate dream as a figure skater, being part of it now as a singer feels like a full-circle moment that is “truly meaningful and an incredible honor.”

ENHYPEN’s global success makes them the perfect fit for the event. Just recently, the seven-member group released their 7th mini album ‘THE SIN : VANISH’, featuring 11 songs led by the title track ‘Knife’. With 122,400 units sold, the EP debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, making this their fifth time in a row to hit the Top 5. A record-breaking achievement like this shows just how much presence they have on the world stage.
The torch relay will conclude on Feb. 6, 2026 in Milan, which coincides with the Opening Ceremony at the iconic San Siro Stadium. This year’s Winter Games will then run until Feb. 22.
