Catch The Young under EVERMORE ENTERTAINMENT released their 2nd Album “Fragments of Odyssey” just in time for summer. Comprised of Sani, Jungmo, Kihoon, Namhyun, and Junyong, Catch The Young made their debut in November 2023, showcasing a distinctive pop-rock sound. In line with their debut album “Fragments of Youth,” “Fragments of Odyssey” serves as a follow-up, enabling Catch The Young to delve deeper into their emotions and musical expression.
In their second mini-album, Catch The Young explores life as the central theme, juxtaposing it with elements of adventure and the myriad emotions that accompany the journey. All tracks on this album were penned collaboratively by every member of the band, adding a personal touch to their music. Fans of XDINARY HEROES or ONE OK ROCK are bound to find Catch The Young’s style appealing!
“Fragments of Odyssey”
The mini-album includes seven new songs. “Voyager” is the title track and expresses how the group is amicable together despite taking on different forms of life. An overall feel-good track with a satisfying prominent bass throughout, this track among the rest is perfect for a K-Drama OST. The next track, “Sentimental Journey” focuses on childhood dreams and stepping towards them. This is a fun upbeat song that emulates the childhood after school feeling.
“The Legend”, inspired by Korean professional gamer, Faker; motivates listeners to believe in themselves even when doubt clouds our minds. This track reminds us here at POP TOKKI of something out of an Anime opening theme, too good. What’s an album without a track about love? “Always, Forever” perfectly captures the fondness and softness of falling in love, again another track we could see on a K-Drama OST.
The song “About Us (상상해왔던 모든 게 이루어지고 있는 순간)” directly translates to “The Moment When Everything We’ve Imagined Is Coming True.” This track can be seen as a reflection of the group’s journey as they reminisce on a reunion of special and personal memories while highlighting the vocal ability of the group as a whole. “Light On Me (1101)” is Catch The Youngs’ first fan song as they express their gratitude who have stayed by their side. Lastly “Stay By My Side,” conveys a special message about sticking with each other and being there for one another.
