BOYNEXTDOOR BRINGS HOLLYWOOD FLAIR WITH ‘THE ACTION’

K-pop group BOYNEXTDOOR (SUNGHO, RIWOO, JAEHYUN, TAESAN, LEEHAN and WOONHAK) return with their much-anticipated 5th EP, ‘The Action.’ Led by the bold single “Hollywood Action,” the release captures the group’s fearless spirit while showcasing their growing artistry and storytelling.

True to their reputation, BOYNEXTDOOR embrace themes of risk-taking and self-discovery throughout ‘The Action.’ Each track offers a window into the members’ emotions and experiences. From the artistic struggles of “Live in Paris” to the camaraderie of “JAM!,” the turbulence of “Bathroom,” and the bittersweet acceptance of fading love in “As Time Goes By.”

A standout aspect of this release is the group’s creative involvement. Members JAEHYUN, TAESAN and WOONHAK hold songwriting credits on the lead single, with LEEHAN joining for the first time. Across the EP, BOYNEXTDOOR double down on self-written lyrics and production. They continue to shape a sound that is raw, direct and distinctly theirs.

A Cinematic Comeback

The “Hollywood Action” music video brings BOYNEXTDOOR’s vision to life with playful storytelling and cinematic flair. From RIWOO and WOONHAK dodging lasers on set to SUNGHO making a surprise appearance on a bus stop advertisement. The video fuses humor, charisma and eye-catching choreography.

The concept ties back to the group’s pre-release storyline, where they portrayed members of a film crew called “TEAM THE ACTION” preparing for a fictional Chicago Film Festival. In the video, this narrative reaches its climax as the team walks the red carpet and celebrates their win, blending fantasy and reality with scenes filmed in Chicago.

Momentum on the Global Stage

‘The Action’ follows BOYNEXTDOOR’s string of successful releases, including million-seller EPs ‘19.99‘ and ‘No Genre.’ All four of their previous EPs entered the Billboard 200, reflecting their rapid rise on the global music scene. The group also wrapped their first tour, KNOCK ON Vol.1, which covered 23 shows across 13 cities. They further made waves with their performance at Lollapalooza Chicago.

Now, with ‘The Action,’ BOYNEXTDOOR continue their upward climb, cementing themselves as a group redefining K-pop’s future with honesty and flair.
