Celebrating ten years since their debut, GFRIEND has returned as the original six-member group. The girl group debuted on Jan. 15, 2015, with the extended play ‘Season of Glass’ and endeavored to a successful career until 2021. The GFRIEND members departed from SOURCEMUSIC in 2021 after their contracts ended. However, to the delight of fans, officials announced in late 2024 that GFRIEND would reunite for their 10th anniversary in 2025; on Jan. 13, 2025, GFRIEND released their special album ‘Season of Memories.’
The album ‘Season of Memories’ featured the title track, “Season of Memories,” the accompanying b-side, “Always. “Season of Memories” was pre-released on a music streaming service on Jan. 5, 2025, with its music video released with the rest of the special album on Jan. 13. “Season of Memories” is a sentimental dance-pop song paying homage to the group’s 10-year career. “Always” is also a dance-pop track which contains elements of disco. “Always” promises an eternal dream between the members and fans.
GFRIEND also announced an Asian tour of their 10th-anniversary concert, ‘Season of Memories.’ The tour will take place in Seoul, Osaka. Yokohama, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Kaohsiung.
