XG is BACK. This time with their first full-length debut album set for release next year on January 23, 2026. The announcement of this album followed XG’s recent milestone, headlining at “a-nation 2025,” one of Japan’s largest summer festivals. During their performance, XG announced their plans for this album, stirring up excitement. XG has been redefining global pop music, labeling them trailblazers, as they were the only Japanese artists who performed at Coachella back in April this year.
An exciting announcement continuing a year full of memorable milestones. On Sep. 19, a first album preview will be released, arriving with the pre-release single “GALA.”
“GALA” is a high-energy fashion runway anthem complemented by futuristic sounds. It’s also full of high fashion and unique visual imagery, which XG is well-known for. Opening with a cinematic, space-scale intro, the track fuses hard-hitting rap, bilingual flows, driving house rhythms, and bold synth textures to create ‘X GALA,’ a futuristic reimagining of a high-fashion gala through XG’s distinctive lens. The single’s cover art, unveiled today, captures the glamorous and otherworldly aesthetic of “GALA,” building anticipation for its global digital release.
XG is also highlighting their artistry through music and fashion with the XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The first HOWL” EXHIBITION. This exhibition will only be available from Sep. 1 to 7, located at Laforet Museum Harajuku in Tokyo, Japan.
