Kep1er debuts first Korean album ‘Kep1going On’

This past June 3rd was probably not a regular Monday for Kep1ians as Kep1er released their first full Korean album called ‘Kep1going On’ including Korean versions of “Grand Prix” and “Straight Line” and 8 brand-new songs. This is going to be Kep1er’s last record as a 9-member group after last month’s confirmation that Mashiro and Yeseo had not renewed their contracts with WAKEONE Entertainment and SWING Entertainment. Fear not, Yujin, Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, and Youngeun will continue as Kep1er from July 2024, right after their 3-day shows in Yokohama, Japan.

Last Carnival

A perfect short introduction to the album. Once the song starts playing, it embarks you on a coming-of-age story in the form of a beautiful ballad. Regardless of the name, there’s a promise of a continuation of them as a group, even if that also means a few changes along the way.

Shooting Stars

The main song of Kep1going On and it comes with an incredible music video and dance practice video. The music video displays the girl group dancing and living in a magical galaxy space, to mention their wanting to “fly high like shooting stars”, as well as Dayeon and Hikaru’s raps about “Kep1er going strong …. in another galaxy”. With the immediate group changes, they are promising to go above and beyond, fueled by their fans.

The rest of the tracklist includes “Curious”, “Flowers, Flutter, Your Heart”, “Double Up!”, “PUSH BUTTON”, “PROBLEM”, “Dear Diary”, “Grand Prix – KOR Version” and “Straight Line – KOR Version”. All special songs that you should add to your playlist when commuting, working out, having a solo dance party, and lastly uplifting yourself.
