‘Collector’ is ITZY’s first album release following the members’ announcement at their Fourth Fan Meeting, “ON AIR,” at the KBS Arena. During the event, Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna personally shared that they had renewed their exclusive contracts with their label, JYP Entertainment.
On Oct. 8, ITZY unveiled their second Japanese full-length album, ‘Collector,’ with “Rock & Roll” as the title track. This is their first full album in Japan in about a year and a half since their third Japanese single, ‘Algorhythm,’ dropped in May 2024. The release has built strong anticipation among eager international and local fans.

“ROCK & ROLL”
The album title ‘Collector’ expresses a strong will to pursue and collect whatever one desires. Like a cherished collection filled with deep affection and memories, it reflects traces of the past while also showing ITZY’s determination to move forward and keep evolving.
In the “ROCK & ROLL” music video, the members discover a mysterious stone that triggers supernatural events. Despite its title and the girls repeatedly telling us that they are “so rock and roll,” the song doesn’t stick to a strict rock sound. Instead, it’s an upbeat and lively dance track with a playful rhythm sprinkled with a few edgy breakdowns. The melodies are light and catchy, especially in the bright and infectious chorus.
Rather than redefining the genre, “Rock & Roll” thrives on ITZY’s confident and carefree energy. It may not be ITZY’s most experimental song. Still, it’s fun, feel-good and easy-to-listen vibe captures the group’s youthful spirit and charm. The track is an enjoyable listen for all fans.
Aside from the title track, the album consists of a total of 10 songs, including “Rock & Roll” and the new B-sides “I. I. Know Me,” “Out of Season,” “Trigger” and “Wind Ride.” The final versions of “Algorhythm” and “No Biggie” now feature Lia’s vocals after her return from her July 2024 hiatus. The album also includes Japanese versions of “GOLD,” “Imaginary Friend” and “Girls Will Be Girls.”
