Debuting in July of 2022, this five-member 4th Generation girl group has started to make a name for themselves in the industry only a year into their careers. In anticipation of their 2nd EP ‘Get Up,’ on July 7, NewJeans released one of the B side tracks, “Super Shy” to fans.
“Super Shy” is a pop track that involves a very noticeable drum pattern. The song also has hints of a dance club vibe that makes the song very addictive. The meaning behind the song has to do with trying to get the courage to confess an attraction or love to someone that barely knows you. The MV is set and filmed in Portugal and in the MV, one member is seen riding a bike to meet up with the rest of the members in a park for a picnic. The members notice there is an exercise group dancing to one of their songs “Attention” and soon join them to dance to their song “Super Shy”. Throughout the MV, there are various flash mobs that join NewJeans in their high-energy choreography. The MV is very bright and exciting, especially with the members’ cute outfits throughout the MV.
