C9 Entertainment’s boy group, EPEX, released their single “so nice” on May 6 in collaboration with the popular indie synthpop duo joan. This not only marks EPEX’s first single of 2025 but also their first full English track. Produced by joan, “so nice” is a follow-up track to their 2021 single “so good.” The song explores the emotions of a deep romantic connection, and that complements both EPEX and joan artistry. The single contains a laid-back, vibrant sound and a dreamy sound that perfectly reflects the emotions captured in the lyrics.

Both artists connected after joan noticed member Yewang covering one of their songs, which led to “so nice” being written despite being a follow-up track to one of joan’s songs; it was written for EPEX in mind. While this song was written for them, EPEX asked joan if they would be featured on this song, to which they agreed, and within a week, they shot the music video. The music video features both artists in a chill environment as they walk around South Korea having fun and joking around like any friend group, while paired with a cool vintage feel.
EPEX has more exciting activities lined up for the remainder of this year, “so nice” was just a small indication of that. Also, excitingly, EPEX will be the first all-Korean idol group to hold a concert in mainland China since 2016; this concert will be held on May 31 in Fuzhou, opening future opportunities for many other Korean artists to hold concerts in China.
