MEOVV MOVES FORWARD WITH NEW PASSION IN LATEST SINGLE “BURNING UP”

MEOVV returns on Oct. 14 with their new digital single “BURNING UP” after experimenting and expanding their musical identity through their first EP ‘MY EYES OPEN VVIDE’ released last May. Following the EP’s release, MEOVV made their Japanese debut with the single “ME ME ME” in July. With an even hotter and more intense single, the girls channel unshakable confidence with the spirit of “burning hot and setting everything on fire” while delivering powerful energy through their performance.

“BURNING UP”

“BURNING UP” begins with a determined promise—even if I lose my breath, I won’t stop. Co-written by members Gawon and Narin, the Jersey club-inspired dance track captures the attitude of moving forward without hesitation toward their goals. It combines pulsating kicks, signature Jersey club beats and soaring synths that build into an energetic dance break as the members chant, “It’s like a wildfire, I’mma stay right by ya / Come take me up higher / Let it, let it, let it, let it burn.” The direct lyrics and powerful rhythm capture MEOVV’s message of persistence and inner drive to press on without faltering.

The music video follows the members through various playful settings as they face a heatwave, finding creative ways to cool off, like triggering sprinklers in a restaurant or embracing the summer chaos together.

As MEOVV enters their second year since debuting in Sept. 2024, the group now stands at a defining point in their journey, and “BURNING UP” represents a new artistic direction for them. The latest single showcases a more mature and stylish image, moving away from their Y2K-inspired pop sound.

Over the past five months, the group focused on resetting and realigning their goals. This comeback reflects their commitment to rise beyond rookie status and showcase their artistic and musical growth.
