TAEMIN made history as the first Korean male solo artist to perform at Coachella. His performances over the two-weekend festival generated excitement and awe from the crowds as well as fans who watched the livestream performances. TAEMIN’s first weekend performance was daring and showcased many sides of him, making fans label this as a career-defining moment for him.
On April 18, TAEMIN returned to Coachella at the Mojave Stage for his week-two performance, capturing the attention of tens of thousands of festival-goers. This week two performances garnered more attendees due to word of mouth from his last performance, and in turn, TAEMIN performed his set with even deeper artistry and a more daring stage presence than before.
His setlist for the weekend included six new tracks and resonated strongly with the audience. “Permission,” “PARASITE,” “Let Me Be The One,” “Sober,” and “1004” saw an explosive reaction from the crowd, with loud sing-alongs being audible over the stage performance. In true TAEMIN fashion, he delivered explosive vocals alongside his signature refined choreography.
One of the most notable aspects of his stage performance was his wardrobe. Known for his title “best dressed celebrities” mentioned by Vogue, I-D Magazine, and DAZED, he teased during his appearance on FOX11’s Good Day LA that he would introduce changes to his outfit with “a more daring level of exposure,” taking the stage in a bold, fashion-forward look centered around a braided top. TAEMIN debuted an elevated and more provocative styling for weekend two.
Outside of fashion and his newer discography, TAEMIN’s stage was particularly interesting because of the refined narrative elements of his performance, extending the “Red Thread” VCR narrative onto the stage with “Sphere,” where he emerges out of the confines of the sphere, elevating the storyline and maximizing the audience’s immersion.
Immediately after the Coachella stage was broadcast live worldwide, the hashtag “#TEAMCHELLA,” a fan-created term combining TAEMIN’s name and Coachella, rose to No. 1 on global real-time trends on X, demonstrating his overwhelming global impact.

With two successful performances at Coachella, TAEMIN has firmly established himself as a global top-tier solo artist, signaling even more expansive activities on the world stage in the future.
