Following the group’s standout performance at Lollapalooza, JYP Entertainment’s highly popular girl group TWICE has embarked on their 2026 leg of the THIS IS FOR tour. This tour leg includes 30 stops across the United States and promises fans the ultimate TWICE experience as they perform a variety of songs from their debut to present day.
We were able to catch TWICE’s day-one performance at the United Center on April 6. Here is what we thought:
TWICE’s THIS IS FOR day 1 in Chicago was full of enthusiasm from ONCEs. The cheers from the packed stadium were deafening from the start. Opening with their newest song “THIS IS FOR,” the atmosphere was perfectly set for the rest of the night. TWICE set out to truly show fans their true selves with this tour, which is evident from all components of the concert.

From a stage set up that allowed ONCEs to view TWICE from many different perspectives to the elaborate stage productions, TWICE put on a very engaging show that captured their strengths. The stage setup included multiple extended stages and a 360-degree view, allowing fans to see their set from any angle. Throughout the concert, the members made sure to make their rounds to all sides of the stage, interacting with fans and facing multiple directions during performances.

One memorable aspect of the group’s performances was the diversity in the sets. If someone attended this tour and didn’t know much about the group, THIS IS FOR is the perfect show for them to attend. Their sets were split up based on the vibe of the song, setting the tone for every chapter of the concert.
Outside of the group songs the group is known for, TWICE performed solo and duo stages. Even though their solos were all shortened to around a minute, it didn’t hinder them from showcasing all their personal skills and styles.
A standout moment of the night, unforgettable to both ONCE and casual K-pop fans alike, was Jihyo and Jeongyeon’s fierce performance of the hit track “TAKEDOWN” from the highly acclaimed Rise to Fame movie K-pop Demon Hunter series. Even though Chaeyoung was absent, Jihyo and Jeongyeon filled the stage confidently and with such intensity that their performance felt whole, making fans scream electrifyingly around them.

The duo stages and solo medleys offered ONCEs the opportunity to see songs they never thought they would hear. Although this added a unique sense of excitement, it didn’t dim the light on more of the group’s well-known performances.
The group’s performances of their well-known title tracks “Fancy” and “What is Love?” garnered some of the highest energy of the night. ONCE danced along from all sides of the venue, which brought smiles to TWICE’s faces. The most memorable song performed in the last set was “ONE SPARK.” As a high-energy, intense song, it served as a nice break between their more girl-pop tracks “Feel Special” and “Heart Shaker.” During the song, the TWICE members made sure to walk around the stage and interact with as many ONCEs as possible, offering fans personalized interactions and acknowledgements. TWICE ended day 1 in Chicago perfectly with their tropical, summer-like track “Alcohol Free,” leaving the crowd with high energy and positive vibes for the rest of their night.

THIS IS FOR gave ONCEs the wonderful opportunity to see TWICE performances dating from debut until the present day, giving everyone the chance to hear their favorite songs and relive memories they may have as a ONCE. TWICE delivered high-energy performances, unique special stages, and interactive fan-centered segments that kept attendees engaged and on their toes the entire night. Fans left highly satisfied and buzzing with excitement, already looking forward to the next time they will see TWICE (and POP TOKKI is looking forward to it as well!)
