Xikers, a ten-member group consisting of members: Minjae, Junmin, Sunmin, Jinsik, Hyunwoo, Junghoon, Seeun, Yujun, Hunter, and Yechan, debuted on March 30 with their first mini album ‘House of Tricky: Doorbell Ringing.’ With an already strong fanbase, xikers’ made a loud impact with their energetic title track, “Tricky House.” The group expressed their career goals, hoping to be a stand-out group within the immense sea of boy group debuts. With their debut album, xikers has already proven that they’re working towards that goal.
“Tricky House” is a hard-hitting track with intense synths, fierce vocals, and hints of Bollywood flair, inspired by the Korean folklore character, Dokkaebi. In the music video, we see an older man who isn’t happy to be around them; they use their youthful energy to get under his skin and inside his head, showing their concept of being travelers through time and space.
Xikers displays their young sound in their mini album with loud and bold tracks such as “XIKEY,” a song that pulls sounds from the drill genre. With the help of their company senior, Hongjoong of ATEEZ, their mini album has a particular flair comparable to ATEEZ’. As the group aspires to be a big group like ATEEZ, they’ve already reached milestone numbers with the music video for “Tricky House,” reaching 1000,000,000 views within one day.
