ENHYPEN has just released ‘YOU,’ their 3rd Japanese EP only a little over three months after their ‘Dark Blood’ comeback in May. Since then, they have been killing it and have been keeping busy with their FATE tour, which started in Seoul and has had its most recent show in Osaka. Not only have they kicked off their FATE tour, but they have also released a few singles that ENGENES are excited to hear during the FATE tour.
On July 31st, the seven-member group released “Criminal Love,” a sultry track as an extension of their ‘Dark Moon: The Blood Altar’ series like their “One in A Billion’ track, released back in 2022. This track is a must-listen and has immediately become a fan favorite among ENGENES. Check out “Criminal Love” below!
‘YOU’ – BREAKDOWN
Since ‘DARK BLOOD’ became an immediate hit, the group has finally decided to release a third Japanese mini album for Japanese ENGENES. This album titled ‘YOU’ features three tracks, two of which are Japanese versions of tracks off ‘DARK BLOOD’ (“Bite Me” & “Bills”) and one which is a new track titled “Blossom”. “Blossom” is a track for those who love “LOVE” with its soft harmonizing vocals and relaxing, simple, yet effective, sound.
ENHYPEN also released a music video for the Japanese version of “Bite Me,” as they have done before with other fan favorites such as “Given-Taken” and more. The MV is very different from its original counterpart. The music video has a clean, crisp feeling when focusing on the members individually, with white and red being the prominent colors. Scenes that focus on all seven members at once seem a bit colder, as the colors are grey and black and the boys are dressed in what seems like a more rugged style that is different to that of the original “Bite Me” MV.
Lastly, “Bills” is the final track off of ‘YOU,’ which has become a favorite amongst ENEGENES. Despite knowing what these tracks sound like in Korean, a new mini album in a different language gives ENGENES the excitement of something completely new and something to look forward to that isn’t too different from the original as they patiently wait for the U.S. Leg of the FATE tour.
