Based in Japan, cosmosy is a four-member girl group made up of himesha, a’mei, de_hana, and kamion who made their debut last year in 2025. Expanding globally, cosmosy has made their way back to Anime Expo and LA since their first visit last year, creating new moments with their fans, ‘eye=sy’ . cosmosy recently released their EP ‘~of the world~’ back in March 2026 and their music video for ‘Paradise ~ I need you ~’ on June 25th, which led to building up the excitement of meeting new ‘eye=sy’ at Anime Expo 2026 with a meet and greet and dance workshop.
POP TOKKI had the opportunity to sit down with cosmosy as they reflect on their journey, what they expect this time around and who they are as a group. Here is what they shared:
POP TOKKI: Going beyond the term ‘global,’ who is cosmosy as a group? And what does that mean to you individually?
kamion: cosmosy symbolizes the possibilities of youth and the infinity of cosmosy reflecting our mission to explore unlimited potential and goals.
de_hana: I think, because we use three languages. We will show a new form of music style.
himesha: cosmosy is a group that will always try something unique. For me, it’s a place where I can challenge myself and grow every day.
a’mei: We are opening a new era.
POP TOKKI: You guys sing in three different languages. Could you walk us through the recording process? What helps you the most?
de_hana: Japanese is easy for me because it’s my native language. For Korean and English, native speakers help me with my pronunciation during recording, and that’s the biggest help.
POP TOKKI: How do you stay true to who cosmosy is as a group while intertwining components of K-pop/J-pop into your look and sound?
himesha: Mmm, I think the most important thing is staying true to cosmosy’s true identity, and we mix K-pop with Japanese culture to create something new. That’s what makes cosmosy stand out.
POP TOKKI: What specific elements in these respective fields inspire your sound and aesthetic?
kamion: I think we are inspired by a mix of different things. Musically, we love emotional melodies and songs that tell a story. Visually, we are drawn to cinematic concepts like fantasy worlds and strong performances. We always try to combine those inspirations in a way that feels like cosmosy.
POP TOKKI: Your latest EP, ~of the world, displays a lot of imagery of supernatural beings (yokai), where each one of you represents a specific being. What’s the connection between you girls as members of cosmosy and the various yokai you individually represent?
himesha: I’m a fox yokai, and I think they are very captivating people. Right? Also, I have that charm as an idol too, so it fits me very well.
a’mei: I play an ONI. I think we are similar because we both keep getting stronger and always try our best.
de_hana: I think I feel connected to her because she looks good with black hair, and has a calm and elegant vibe.
kamion: I think the similarities are having a mysterious vibe.
POP TOKKI: This isn’t your first time at Anime Expo; you were here last year. And last year you performed. Can you tell us about what that experience was like?
amei: Yes, last year I performed with Sukeban. It was my first time performing in LA and my first time performing in a wrestling ring. I could really feel the fans’ energy, and I still remember the atmosphere very clearly.
POP TOKKI: This year, you will be hosting an interactive dance workshop and autograph session, allowing you to connect even more with your fans. What kind of fan interactions stand out to you the most, and which ones are you looking forward to experiencing this year?
himesha: I always remember seeing our fans smile while watching our performances. And this year, I am excited to meet our fans more closely and talk a lot more. I want to make great memories with them.
POP TOKKI: Could you share any memorable moments from your career so far?
de_hana: My most memorable moment was when we did our first pre-recording for a Korean music show, with a big set for HIGH=LOVE. We performed in front of only our fans, and I got my first fan can as part of cosmosy. Hearing everyone cheering for us made me feel like a dream. I still remember that moment.
himesha: I remember the Music Bank stage; it was our first stage, our debut stage. And we did a fairy theme with elf ears. It was really memorable. I was so nervous, it was my first big stage, but it was so fun.
POP TOKKI: Is there anything else you’d like to share with POP TOKKI readers?

cosmosy is on the rise as they successfully wrapped up meeting many global fans at Anime Expo and hello82. However, they will be back this summer, as they will make their first showcase appearance at KCON LA 2026.
