KISS OF LIFE RELEASES 3RD MINI ALBUM ‘LOSE YOURSELF’

The emerging “Monster Rookie: K-pop girl group, KISS OF LIFE, has delivered even more hit songs with the release of their third mini-album, ‘LOSE YOURSELF.’ Launched on October 15th, this seven-track album follows the success of their debut single, “Shhh,” along with popular tracks like “Midas Touch” and “Sticky.”

‘LOSE YOURSELF’ includes seven tracks that highlight KISS OF LIFE’s unique musical style, which blends groovy R&B, laid-back hip-hop, and vibrant EDM dance-pop.

The album includes the pre-release single “R.E.M.,” a dreamy track with emotional melodies, and the title song “Get Loud,” a rhythmic hip-hop dance anthem that showcases KISS OF LIFE’s distinctive personality.

“Get Loud” features a traditional hip-hop rhythm supported by striking guitar chops, enhanced by a captivating Latin-inspired melody. The lyrics convey a sense of immersion in music and the moment brought to life by the members’ unique vocals, further showcasing KISS OF LIFE’s artistry. Through the heavy yet gritty vocal delivery and the genre elements that surface throughout the track, listeners will feel an even more profound sense of KISS OF LIFE’s distinct identity, which they have established in their previous works. 

“Chemistry” is a groovy R&B track that emphasizes the difference in the members’ unique vocal tones. This song introduces a new tone of R&B to the group’s discography, making it one of the most memorable tracks of the release. The group, known for their songs that embrace femininity and sexuality, added to their discography with “Igloo.” Lyrics such as, “I can melt an igloo ‘cause I’m so dang hot” and “I got everything that you’re feening for,” embody this empowering theme.

“Too Many Alex” is an energetic song that conveys the struggle of finding the right partner. With lines like, “Every day, every week, they keep calling my phone,” and “Here is a dead end, because on my phone there are too many Alex,” the song expresses a desire for someone special and distinct from those previously encountered—individuals who come off as childish, immature, and those who “cross the line.”

“Back To Me” is an emotional song about healing after a breakup. It uses the imagery of rising like a phoenix to show resilience and personal growth. In this song, the girls reflect on the pain they’ve experienced in relationships but remain hopeful that love will return. They say they plan to “rise and bloom again,” emphasizing strength and the ability to move forward despite past struggles.

“No One But Us” is a poignant breakup song that reflects on a past relationship and the regrets and curiosities about how life has shifted since their time together. The lyrics pose many questions and explore the “coulda, woulda, shoulda” mindset. Ultimately, the song acknowledges that these curiosities are irrelevant, as a new chapter has begun, even though their hearts still linger with their former lovers.

This album is a significant addition to the group’s discography, showing their expertise in the Hip-Hop and R&B genres they’re known for. While staying true to their roots, they also boldly venture into new styles, experimenting with fresh sounds for the group. This creative exploration highlights their versatility and reflects their growth as artists.

KISS OF LIFE is gearing up their first world tour, “KISS ROAD in North America.” The tour will start on November 10th in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and conclude in Vancouver on December 13.
