Mnet’s highly anticipated K-pop debut project BOYS II PLANET is kicking into high gear. On June 16 and 17, Mnet unveiled “1 Min + α PR Videos” featuring all 154 participants. These self-introduction clips showcase each trainee’s unique personality, skills, and dreams.
Split into BOYS II PLANET K and BOYS II PLANET C, each contestant brought their A-game in just over a minute. From smooth vocals and fearless rap lines to quirky concepts like playing a teacher, chef, or shopkeeper, the videos offer fans a first glimpse at the stars of tomorrow. All videos are available now on its official YouTube channel and Mnet Plus.

Just days before the video drop, BOYS II PLANET held its first fan event, PLANET DAY: OPEN STAGE, on June 14 at DMC Culture Park in Seoul. A massive crowd of fans—some arriving a day early—packed the venue to cheer on their favorite trainees.
All 154 participants greeted fans along a runway-style stage and handed out handwritten message cards to their fandom, known as “Star Creators”. The event was also livestreamed on Instagram, allowing international fans to join in real time.
With hashtags and keywords related to the event trending across X (formerly Twitter) and Weibo, BOYS II PLANET is already gaining serious momentum online. Fans are rallying behind their early favorites as anticipation builds for the show’s two-part premiere.
When and Where to watch
The competition officially kicks off next month. BOYS II PLANET K premieres on July 17 and BOYS II PLANET C on July 18, both at 9:20 p.m. KST. Produced by the creators of I-LAND series, Girls Planet 999: The Girls Saga, and BOYS PLANET, the show will separate participants into K and C units before uniting them on a shared journey toward debut.
