With their recent full group album, ‘Golden Age’, the subgroup NCT 127 of NCT, works hard to release their 5th full album. NCT 127, the second subgroup of the group NCT, debuted on July 7, 2016. Since 2016, NCT 127 has grown in such phenomenal ways and continues to show their love for their music. ‘Fact Check – The 5th Album’ with the title track “Fact Check” was released on October 6.
‘Fact Check – The 5th Album’ consists of a total of nine tracks, such as “Je Ne Sais Quoi”, “Misty”, and “Angel Eyes”, which vary in genres. NCT 127 members, Mark, Taeyong, and Taeil are credited for helping to co-write some of the album’s songs. NCT 127 never fails to show their versatility within different albums and genres for various tracks. Yet, they still keep a kind of nostalgia within every album that fans keep running back for. This group loves to genre-jump and stay diverse with their music.
The title track “Fact Check” is a rhythmic dance song with distinct synth sounds in the background. This song is a very upbeat yet light sound that was ideal to be chosen as a title track. “Fact Check” is a track that embodies NCT 127’s unique need to not sound like other artists within the same generation.
The MV follows the 9 members through many Korean traditional settings. There are also plenty of scenes where we see the members dancing in a city setting with tall buildings. NCT 127 has a real focus on their dance performance throughout the MV to enhance their upbeat, yet light song. The choreography is powerful, smooth, and entertaining especially when the various background dancers in black join behind the members.
