K-pop icons SEVENTEEN released their 11th mini album ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN.’ This album was highly anticipated by fans as it broke the record for the most pre-ordered album in K-pop history. Previous to its release, the album held over 5.2M preorders. SEVENTEEN decided to add their own twist to the term ‘Seventh Heaven’ while describing the happiness they’ve felt while being a group.
SEVENTEEN, which is comprised of 13 members has lived up to the title of “K-pop Stage-breakers” as they have excelled in areas of synchronization, hard teamwork, and jaw-dropping performances. As they continue to push themselves, they leave a mark anywhere they go, including with this album.
The lead single, “God of Music” is a soul-funk track that was accompanied by a very cheerful and bright music video. Filmed in Budapest, we see a dull world where music is absent until SEVENTEEN arrives. They continue to spread the joy of music as they find their way to each other in the end. You cannot help but get up and dance when you hear this song!
There are 8 additional tracks that accompany “God of Music.” These tracks include “Back 2 Back” (Performance Unit), “Monster” (Hip-hop Unit), and “Yawn” (Vocal Unit). Additionally, there are two fan-dedicated tracks titled “Diamond Days” and “Headliner.” It also features the all-English track “SOS (Prod. Marshmello)” which centers on the importance of togetherness and unity. SEVENTEENS’ love for music is evident ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN’.
SEVENTEEN continues to go above and beyond their previous milestones as ‘SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN’ surpassed the preorder numbers of their previous release ‘FML’. They continue to leave a name for themselves with every release and prove to the K-pop scene that they’re here to stay.
