YUJU has made her comeback with her 2nd single release titled, “DALALA,” and we are so thrilled! Juju made her solo debut under KONNECT Entertainment in January 2022 with her first mini album, ‘REC,’ which became an instant favorite. With a darker pop style, ‘REC’ had all the vibes of an angsty 90s album with hits like “PLAY”. Her second mini album, ‘O,’ released earlier this year in March, was also an immediate hit among her fans. This album had tracks that were soft, while still having the same pop flair you can find in other YUJU releases.
“DALALA” no doubt follows YUJU’s pursuit of angsty pop, this time with a funky, retro bass line. This is the perfect feel-good song you can dance around to on the street without caring if anyone stares. This track is a must for those seeking a lighthearted and carefree tune that is very satisfying to our ears. As we listened to this track, we immediately added it to our playlists; YUJU did not disappoint.

The music video for “DALALA” uses its visuals to bring to life what we all imagine when we listen to the song. The video focuses on YUJU in various places all in a dark, dimly lit setting. It starts off with her entering an elevator and putting on earbuds as the track starts playing. Full of the bright, flashy colors, lights, and effects of a 2010 “aesthetic” Tumblr post, we get the sense that she is showcasing the many sides of her personality in this MV. Touching on the carefree aspect of the track, she is seen dressed and dancing in various styles throughout the video. Ever heard a song that was just so good that it takes you to another world where things are more fun? Well, we feel that this music video transports us into her mind while her song plays in the background.
