5 K-Idols Who Rocked The “Blueberry Milk” Trend

With summer in full swing, hundreds of trends in the beauty world are popping up left and right. In recent weeks, famous names ranging from Sabrina Carpenter to Sofia Richie have been spotted sporting pale, milky blue nails for the summer. While this trend is fairly new, a plethora of K-Idols has proven that they are not only on top of the trend but have been sporting it for quite a while! Here are 5 K-Idols who successfully owned what fashion gurus have coined as the “Blueberry Milk” beauty trend.

Mark – NCT

With twenty members, it would be unlikely that a single member of NCT hadn’t sported pale blue locks in the past. Member Mark Lee, K-Pop ace, had dreamy blue hair in early January during the promotion of NCT127’s ‘Ay-Yo – The 4th Album Repackage.’ Throughout the “Ay-Yo” music video, Mark’s hair is seen complementing other aspects of his look; matching well with his blue and white button-up, as well as his light grey cargo pants. While Mark Lee has previously dyed his hair just about every color under the sun, from fiery red to jet black, we love the way it looks dipped in Blueberry Milk!

Yuna – ITZY

Not a stranger to stunning crowds with her flawless visuals, ITZY’s Yuna made no exception in the group’s promotional photos for their 2021 The First FAN PARTY LIVE with Global MIDZY event. With each of the members donned from head to toe in bright white outfits, it is clear that Yuna stands out, catching eyes with her smokey blue hair. While this look can definitely be considered a more dusty and mysterious sister of the pastel blue trend, as MIDZY’s, we can make an exception!

Winter – Aespa

Given the nickname “baby rabbit” by her fans, we think that “arctic fox” is more suitable for Winter’s iconic 2020 debut style. In the music video for Aespa’s song, ‘Black Mamba,’ Winter’s flowing hair begins as a pale platinum blonde that bleeds into pearly blue tips. As seen throughout this era, her chic blonde + blue look matches well with the glittery and fun, yet modern and meta concept.

Beomgyu – TXT

Dancing on the border of blueberry milk and grey periwinkle, we think that TOMORROW x TOGETHER’s Beomgyu should be recognized as a trendsetter for his signature blue bowl cut during the group’s 2019 ‘Run Away’ era. While Beomgyu wasn’t the only member showcasing a blue hairstyle during this time (alongside Yeonjun’s bright blue raspberry strands) his dusty blue tresses were enough to make fans swoon!

Hyunjin – Stray Kids

Stray Kids’ Hyunjin made his Blueberry Milk debut in late December of last year. This playful look created quite a stir among STAY’s, which eventually evolved into a whirlwind of praise after Hyunjin posted multiple selfie sets to the group’s official Instagram. In the following weeks, he was seen styling this look in various ways including straight blowouts, covering it with caps, and even letting it peek out from underneath hoodies!
