Worldwide sensation ATEEZ has released their second studio album ‘THE WORLD EP.FIN’ and fans across all social media platforms have reacted explosively to every song on the album. ‘THE WORLD EP.FIN’ features 12 songs, each showcasing the group’s ability to succeed in any genre.
Fans found themselves specifically drawn to the unit and solo tracks, along with the title “Crazy Form.”
“Crazy Form” is a dancehall track composed with an energetic Afrobeat rhythm. The song shows the charm and wittiness ATEEZ possesses, almost like a warning for people who aren’t aware of them or what they stand for. The song instantly became a hit with its catchy beat and teasing lyrics. “CRAZY FORM” is a reiteration of who ATEEZ is, and is a crucial reminder and ending chapter of their immersive storyline.
After the title track and b-side songs “ARRIBA,” “Silver Light,” and “Dreamy Day,” ATEEZ transition into their unit songs, which fans explosively reacted to on Twitter.
MATZ, the hyung-line pair in the group consisting of Leader Kim Hongjoong and eldest Park Seonghwa, named their title track after their duo. ATINY were excited to get more of rapper Seonghwa, and ‘MATZ’ shows his versatility as a vocalist and his ability to conform to any genre of music. Hongjoong’s high-energy rap paired with Seonghwa’s lower-toned, strong voice creates the perfect hype song for ATINY to listen to. Hongjoong’s witty lines and addictive rap voice fit perfectly with the tone and rockish rap genre the duo was emanating. MATZ created a song perfectly showcasing both of their rap styles, making ATINY around the world praise the song and members.
“It’s really fascinating how they mirrored their rap parts, but also juxtaposed them. Like Seonghwa hitting heavy and low and Hongjoong really coming in bright and agile. And I love that Seonghwa pushed to take a gamble and the pay off has been incredible,” @Hlif_Hwaiting said.
“Really want to let Seonghwa know how insanely talented he is, every time he shows us a new side of himself, he blows us all away. I really believe he’s the idol of idols with how well he can sing, RAP, style and make fantastic worlds come to life through his expressions,” @plushiejin said.
“IT’s You,” the sultry, teasing track sung and composed by members Kang Yeosang, Jung Wooyoung, and Choi San, is an R&B track relating the feelings of trying to seduce someone. This track has allowed ATINY to see a new side from Wooyoung, San, and Yeosang, creating a new sound that stands out from the group’s b-sides from the past. With the trio’s contrasting vocal tones and abilities, the group truly invokes the hypnotizing emotions wanted from the listener.
“Their vocals are genuinely incredible, woosansang unit was the best thing to ever happen fr 🥹🤍” @atzthisworld said.
“I don’t think y’all understand how lucky we are to have IT’s You… like we got an woosansang unit, the woosansang unit is an rnb song, the song has Wooyoung high notes Yeosang and San get to show their range AND they wrote the lyrics themselves????” @YEOFAIRY said.
Song Mingi and Jung Yunho gave us “Youth,” an old-school R&B track written as a reflection of their friendship throughout the years. The reminiscent melody and lyrics perfectly capture the essence of a “youthful” feel and the transition from youth to adulthood. The duo sing this song together, speaking about the memories they’ve experienced growing up together.
“Yunho who ate lunch with Mingi every day when no one else did Yunho who looks at Mingi like he hung the moon in the sky Mingi who’s been following Yunho since 9th grade Mingi who wrote youth at 22 and knew he wanted to sing it with Yunho,” @yungiblues said.
“I CANNOT BELIEVE that YUNHO and MINGI created a song TOGETHER that mingi WROTE when he was TWENTY TWO and WANTED TO WORK WITH YUNHO on it for their FULL LENGTH ALBUM and decided to name it YOUTH,” @sectoryunho said.
ATEEZ’s maknae Choi Jongho proved yet again why he is one of the best fourth-generation vocalists with his solo song “Everything.” In true Jongho style, the track is emotional, heart-wrenching, and dramatic. From the buildup of the instrumental to his deep, angel voice paired with the lyrics describing the painful emotions of a breakup one hasn’t gotten over, Jongho perfectly showcases his solo track. Fans on Twitter expressed their pride and admiration for Jongho on Twitter the day the album was released.
“Jongho’s voice, the emotions, the vocals, high notes everything is literally so magical,” @KHJBASE said.
“I’m literally sobbing…. my god jongho did such an amazing job with everything. the lyrics the instrumental all of it im seriously crying you guys,” @igatekeephj said.
