Mnet’s massive K-pop debut project BOYS II PLANET made waves worldwide with a stunning global showcase of its theme song “HOLA SOLAR”, performed by over 150 participants. The highly anticipated event streamed on June 12 on Mnet Plus, YouTube, and TikTok, capturing the attention of fans in 133 countries.

The Signal Song Global Showcase offered a powerful first glimpse into the series’ grand scale. Featuring sleek choreography, dynamic visuals, and high-end production, the stage was elevated further with cutting-edge AR technology. The performance not only highlighted the trainees’ potential but also reaffirmed Mnet’s production dominance in the survival show space.
For that reason, global fans responded instantly. The stream pulled in around 240,000 live viewers, while over 10 keywords like “Signal Song” and “Mnet” trended in South Korea and across Southeast Asia. On X (formerly Twitter), “Mnet” hit #21 on the worldwide trending list, with more than 15 related tags going viral. In China, Weibo buzzed with trending searches tied to the show and its trainees—a strong signal of BOYS II PLANET’s global appeal.
Following the showcase on June 13, individual performance videos for all 154 contestants dropped at 6 p.m. KST. Fans can view and support their favorite trainees on YouTube and Mnet Plus until June 15 at 10 a.m. KST. These fan metrics will factor into a key upcoming mission in the show.
In the meantime, Mnet hosts PLANET DAY: OPEN STAGE on June 14 at DMC Culture Park in Seoul. This in-person fan event marks the first-ever meeting between the 154 trainees and their fandom, “Star Creators”.
When and Where to watch
The competition officially kicks off next month, with BOYS II PLANET K premiering on July 17 and BOYS II PLANET C on July 18, both at 9:20 p.m. KST. Backed by the team behind the I-LAND series, Girls Planet 999: The Girls Saga, and BOYS PLANET, the show will separate participants into K and C units before uniting them on a shared journey toward debut.
