“KILL MA BO$$”
“KILL MA BO$$” kicks off KIIRAS’s debut with a fusion of pop, country, R&B, and hip-hop. An uncommon blend in K-pop that immediately sets the group apart. The song stands out with bright country twangs, catchy banjo riffs, and punchy hip-hop beats, creating a fresh, Western-inspired soundscape rarely explored in the idol scene.
Meanwhile, the charismatic vocal performance shifts between fierce growls and soaring highs, leaving an unexpectedly refined impression for a rookie group. The music video also visually reinforces their rebellious charm through scenes of horseback riding, card games, and wide-open landscapes, underscoring their free-spirited concept.
Externally, “BOSS” represents societal norms and outdated standards, which the group aims to challenge and redefine. Internally, it symbolizes the emotional turbulence of adolescence—fear, self-doubt, and the pressure to conform. “Killing” these bosses becomes a metaphor for embracing one’s true self. To balance these heavy themes, the lyrics also sprinkle in a playful touch of teenage love, allowing the message to resonate broadly. All in all, the track captures KIIRAS’s ambition to break boundaries while still staying authentic, making their debut both sonically striking and emotionally relatable.
“ZILLER!”
Serving as the second track to their debut EP, “ZILLER!” bursts with teen pop vibrance, built on an energetic EDM-infused beat that electrifies the mood. Channeling the unfiltered rush of adolescence, KIIRAS unhesitatingly expresses the emotions, excitement, and confusion that define their teenage years. While adults often teach restraint, “ZILLER!” flips the script, encouraging young listeners to embrace every feeling just as they are. Lines like “Adults ask when will we grow up, but I don’t want to do that yet! So what! Just let it out! If I don’t do it today, I might regret it again, just ZILLER!” encapsulate the group’s message of honest and unfiltered self-expression.
“KILL MA BO$$ (Country Mix ver.)” and “KILL MA BO$$ (Instrumental)”
The EP also includes two alternate versions of their title track. The “KILL MA BO$$ (Real Country Mix ver.)” deepens their exploration of the country genre with a richer, more immersive twist. On the other hand, the instrumental version invites us to focus on the intricate production. Altogether, the album solidifies KIIRAS’s genre-fluid sound and sets the tone for their musical journey ahead.

Adding to their impact, KIIRAS is making history as the first K-pop girl group to include a Malaysian member and leader. LingLing now stands as the first female Malaysian K-pop idol—a momentous milestone for both the group and the industry. This multicultural lineup adds a fresh dimension to their identity, especially as they continue pushing boundaries and aiming for global impact. With a debut this dynamic, they’re already redefining what a rookie group can be.
