Mrs. GREEN APPLE, a popular global J-pop phenomenon, has announced that their sixth original full-length album will be released on Sept. 30. The announcement was made during a live broadcast of their signature variety show, TV × Mrs., along with a new artist photo. In addition, they confirmed a nationwide arena tour spanning 13 cities with a total of 28 live performances, marking their first appearance in an arena in more than three years.
Mrs. GREEN APPLE is a three-member Japanese band that consists of Motoki Ohmori (vocals/guitar), Hiloto Wakai (guitar), and Ryoka Fujisawa (keyboard). The trio formed in 2013 and made their major-label debut in 2015. In 2019, they released their album ‘Attitude,’ featuring some of their top hit tracks to this day, including “インフェルノ (Inferno)” and “青と夏 (Ao to Natsu).” The group then released their first best-of album in 2020, announcing the completion of “Phase 1,” before going on hiatus until March 2022, when they resumed activities and began “Phase 2.”

In 2023, they held arena and dome concerts while releasing their fifth full-length album, ‘ATENNA,’ receiving two Japan Record Awards for their songs “Que Sera Sera” and “Lilac” while appearing on NHK’s Kohaku Uta Gassen for two consecutive years. Last year, they celebrated their 10th anniversary under the theme “MGA MAGICAL 10 YEARS” by launching a variety of large-scale projects. Such as a release of the anniversary best album 10, the outdoor concert “FJORD,” and the five-dome tour “BABEL no TOH.” They have further expanded their global reach with their music as they have served as openings for some of the most popular anime and TV series: “KUSUSHIKI,” the second opening theme for Season 2 of the hit anime The Apothecary Diaries; “Lulu,” which serves as the opening theme for Season 2 of ‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’; and ‘Kaze to Machi (Wind and Town),’ the theme song for NHK’s morning drama series.
As the only Japanese performer listed on the 2025 IFPI Global Artist Chart at number 13, Mrs. GREEN APPLE has achieved remarkable commercial success with record-breaking accomplishments in Japan, surpassing 100 million streams for 43 of their songs and a total domestic stream of more than 16 billion.
This exciting announcement follows Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s historic run, which saw the band win their second consecutive ‘Best Artist’ award and five additional honors at the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026. They also held the second edition of “CEREMONY,” a self-produced two-day event at K-Arena that brought together a diverse lineup of artists to celebrate each other’s music and culture.
