8 OF OUR FAVORITE JAKE MOMENTS

Enhypen is one of many 4th Gen K-POP boy groups that have rapidly pushed themselves to the top. Enhypen has been on a roll this whole year from becoming Prada ambassadors, various collaborations, album releases, their second world tour “FATE” and more. One member in particular has made a statement as K-POP’s most improved idol, from as early as his I-Land days to the present day. Jake has taken feedback to heart and has applied it to his performance improvement every single time and continues to do so. His dedication and hard work are noticeable and have proved that he can do it all.

This year Jake has pushed his way into Engene’s bias lines. We think we can agree that this year was definitely Jake’s year. Apart from the other members, Jake has become a partner alongside his bestie Sunghoon with Tiffany & Co. Jake has also turned so many heads at this year’s Prada Milan fashion week dressed in an all-black ensemble. The head-turning didn’t stop there as it led into Enhypen’s second world tour ‘FATE’ as he bias wrecked us all. Here are some of our favorite Jake moments!

“SHOUT OUT”

One special moment for Engenes as well as Jake was the release of Enhypen’s album ‘MANIFESTO: DAY 1’ album track “SHOUT OUT” as his debut as a lyricist. “SHOUT OUT” has become such a special and emotional song for Engenes and Enhypen, every time the beat slows down and Jake’s part comes in at 2:30 we can’t help but feel every emotion heighten. We hope to see more of Jake as a writer or even producer on upcoming Enhypen tracks in the new year, we’re sure they will be just as amazing as “SHOUT OUT”.

“POLAROID LOVE”

A fan favorite, “Polaroid Love” is no doubt Jake’s song. His vocals are so emphasized in this track that we can’t help but link this song to Jake every time we hear it. His vocals are one of our favorites every time he hits that chorus with his comforting tone. While all the members’ voices make this song sound so good, having Jake start the track left a lasting impression as he carries the title name throughout.

“SACRIFICE (EAT ME UP)”

From ENHYPEN’s ‘DARK BLOOD‘ album, “SACRIFICE(EAT ME UP)” MV showcases some of our favorite Jake vocals and dreamy visuals. As his breathy and satisfying vocals come in and fade out as he sings “Take my hand” and “darkness” is just so prominent leaving us with a never-ending ear-gasm. We can’t wait to see what he has in store for Enhypen’s upcoming album ‘ORANGE BLOOD’.

K-POP IDOLS vs K-POP CUTIES

This is probably one of THE cutest videos of the Enhypen boys; especially for Jake. His gentle like character, encouraging gestures, and words to the kids left us in admiration. Jake smiling through this entire video challenge was so contagious we couldn’t help but realize how big and cheesy we were smiling. This video alone is enough to make Engenes fall to their knees due to the cuteness overload. Idols and kids always leave any K-POP stans in awe, Jake no doubt succeeded on his part.

EN-O’CLOCK EP. 39

Another wholesome video is Enhypen’s En-Cafe EP. 39. What more could anyone want than having coffee and handsome idols making it and serving them? Jake’s enthusiasm to get the orders right and make it a memorable experience while lending a helping hand to his members is just one of Jake’s many charms. We couldn’t help but admire his strive to create a better tasting coffee for the student customers while giving them free chocolate bars all with a warm smile on his face. We’re sure Jake made those girls entire day as well as creating an unforgettable moment.

SCARED JAKE

We definitely can count on Jake to make us laugh, he once again succeeded in these next two videos. Jake is known by many Engene to say that he “doesn’t get scared easily”, but we all know that is a lie. Come on Jake…there is proof EVERYWHERE! Despite Jake’s continued attempts to attest this statement he continuously proves himself wrong while giving Engenes a good laugh.

At mark 4:59 in video two, all the Jake action happens as he’s partnered up with his bestie Sunghoon, the perfect chaotic and scared duo. Jake tries to be slick as he steals one of the lights to take on his scary adventure while he’s quickly stopped, we appreciate his effort. One part that had us dying is him walking covering his ears while Sunghoon screams at him to get his attention and he’s completely oblivious. Not only did he make Engenes laugh, he also had his members laughing so loud even after he declared to Jungwon “It wasn’t scary”. A message from us to Jake, please never stop making us laugh.

EN-LOG

Lastly, the most recent and soothing Jake EN-LOG with his widely famous pup Layla. This vlog shows Jake in a more neutral and comfortable setting as he spends time with Layla. He takes up pottery while making a gift for Layla after having an insanely cute photoshoot with her. The results of his pottery-making skills and portraits are so worth it. You see the warmth and love emanating from Jake from start to finish in this vlog as he speaks about Layla, we stan a man who adores dogs. Happy Birthday Jake!
