From albums to stages, we’re spoiled with endless content from our favorite idols. Although they are amazing singers and performers, many groups possess a star factor that also qualifies them as variety show experts. Filled with endless challenges and themes, variety shows are the perfect opportunity for us to see the true personality of the groups we love. This October, POPTOKKI is going to highlight some of our favorite scary variety show episodes.
RUN BTS (EP.24): “BTS vs Zombies”
Run BTS episode “BTS vs Zombies” is a highly notable episode. Under the impression that they’d be going on a safari, a haunted house filled with brain-eating zombies is where they arrive. The video provides us with lots of laughs as they cannot contain their fear. Some members even go as far as squaring up with the scare actors. Overall, this episode is hilarious and perfect for the Halloween season.
Harmony Forest (EP.7-8): “LIFE of DEATH”
The members of P1harmony are no strangers to being comedic relief for all fans. This group is truly made for variety shows, as shown throughout this episode of Harmony Forest. This episode requires the members to gather clues from two zombie-infested buildings, ultimately helping them for their final challenge. However, this episode stands out because each of the members has to go in individually, leaving viewers with fun camcorder footage from each perspective.
1,2,3 IVE 2 (EP.4-5)
As the members of IVE complete a number of missions, we see many various emotions arise on the dark paths they walk. There are lots of screams, lots of laughs, and even some tears. Near the end of this episode, we find out which member of IVE is truly the bravest. Not only do we learn about their scare threshold, but also which pairs work the best under frightening pressures!
Time to Twice (S2, E4)
In this episode of “Time to Twice,” the members receive a prize from the previous episode. However, the prize resides in a locked classroom. In order to unlock the classroom that holds the prize, the members follow a map that will lead them to the combination of the lock. Of course, it can’t be too easy, so why not make the mission full of jumpscares?
EN’O-CLOCK (EP.44)
Much like IVE, episode 44 of ‘EN-O’CLOCK shows us which members are truly the most dark-blooded. As they navigate their way through an abandoned school-like building, they find themselves coming across many scary obstacles. As half the group scatters away screaming, some others find themselves going toward the danger. I mean, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em right?
Don’t worry if you’re easily scared this season. Many of your favorite idols are in the same boat as you! What is your favorite scary variety show episode? Let us know on Instagram and Twitter!
